Nothing sets the tone faster for a website than color.

• White - Symbolizes purity. One of the most popular colors on the web. Black copy on a white background is the easiest to read. But at the same time too much white can appear boring.
• Black - Can convey a broad spectrum of meanings from somber to power. Can be very effective but must be used properly.
• Blue - A cool color that can appear tranquil and calming. Very popular color especially on corporate websites. But, it can appear cold and uninviting if not offset with a splash of a warmer color, unless of course, that's the look you're going for.
• Green - Symbolizes nature, rebirth, growth and is the easiest color on the eye. Very popular right now and sets the tone of environmental responsibility.
• Yellow - A warm color that's cheerful and sunny. But too much can be glaring and unpleasant to look at. Makes a great warm accent color.
• Orange- Another warm color that's cheerful and calming. However, can appear too hot or cheap.
• Red - Warm color that generates immediate emotional impact. Can symbolize love, power, strength.
• Purple - The color of kings and fools. Deeper purples can convey luxury and lighter purples a sense of serenity and calm.
• Brown - Symbolizes the earth and a steadfastness.
